Hands up who likes camping? Having experienced the worst weather Wales could possibly throw at us, doing just that during Speed Week 2020, we’ve moved into the ‘undecided’ category. Torrential rain and 45mph winds destroying your tent can do that.
Luckily, Ford wants to save the day with its new Bronco. It reckons that with the front seats positioned forward and rear seats folded down, there’s space for two people to lie down, with a rear area length up to 6ft 6in in the four-door model. That’s up to 7ft 6in diagonally, so if you’re extra tall, you’ll have to camp solo. Sorry.
However, with the optional slide-out tailgate (that’s set to arrive late next year), sleeping comfort can be extended more than a foot to increase the diagonal length to 8ft 9in, giving you even more room to enjoy the view of the stars and any alien activity should you have removed the roof. Just be wary of the bugs. And anything else that might be out there.
Ford is also quick to point…
